About Make With Me
Make With Me is a fun, creative and sociable way to make and bake beautiful things. It also raises money for Mencap, the UK’s leading charity working with people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. So you can make something gorgeous and make a difference too.
There are plenty of ideas and resources on this website, including project and recipe cards for you to download. Whether you want to bake some goodies for friends or family, make some unique gifts, or organise your own making or baking party, we’ve got everything you need.
Making and baking are great fun for all ages and abilities, so anyone can join in – which is just as well, as we need your help to raise £25,000 to support Mencap’s work. There are different ways to get involved: for example, you can organise your own making or baking party, or simply download some of our project and recipe cards.

Why take part
Creating something homemade is really satisfying, as well as being a fun way to learn new skills. Whether you want to make unique gifts for friends and family or recycle things you already have to create something new and personal to you, you’ll enjoy the making as much as the end result.
Tapping into your creative side can save you money and is also eco-friendly – why buy, when you can make your own hand-crafted items?

You’ll be making a difference too. Every pound raised will help us to support people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. We don’t ask for a minimum donation – just get together with your crafts group, friends or family, make, bake, be merry and raise as much as you can! See how your money can help.
How do I take part?
There are three ways you can take part:
- Organise your own fundraising making or baking party
- Download a free project or recipe card and make a small donation to Mencap
- Make beautiful homemade presents and give a donation to Mencap
